Cold pressed, unrefined
Why cold presssed?
Oil that is cold pressed has been mechanically extracted from the seed or fruit using a press. No solvents (chemicals) have been used in the process, thus preserving the purity of all the nutrients, particularly the essential fatty acids oils are naturally rich in.
Why unrefined?
Unlike processed cooking oils, which need to go through at least 6 refining phases, cold pressed oils are naturally pure and do not need to go through a single refining process.
Granum Coconut Oil is obtained by cold press extraction of coconut flesh. Its delicate scent and fine aroma have been prized for centuries in Eastern cuisine.
Uses: Because of its high smoke point (180°C), coconut oil is ideal for cooking, frying and baking. It is a great substitute for butter and margarine, as it gives baked goods a unique sweetness and moistness. It is also used as a cosmetic oil, as it has fantastic hair and skin regenerating properties.
Its saturated fatty acids content makes coconut oil naturally solid at temperatures up to 24°C.
Ingredients: 100% coconut oil
Allergen advice: May contain traces of nuts and sesame seeds.
