Cold pressed, unrefined

Hemp plant (Cannabis sativa L.), also known as industrial hemp, is considered to be the first plant ever planted by man, that was used in China at least 10,000 years ago. Its healing properties have been known for thousands of years and in eastern medicine it is considered to be among the plants with best healing power. Hemp seed can be used raw, roasted, ground and in the form of an oil.

Hemp seed is a rich source of all 20 amino acids, including 9 essential ones that human body is unable to produce. It contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D and E. Hemp Seed Oil is produced by cold press squeezing, without subsequent refining, thanks to which it retains all the ingredients and healing qualities of seeds. Of all the vegetable oils, hemp oil contains the best ratio (1: 3) of essential fatty acids omega 3 and 6. Omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids are constituent of the cells of many organs, predominantly of the brain. Omega fatty acids are also necessary for the production of serotonin and dopamine, the neurotransmitters that, among other, induce good mood. Many studies have been conducted with diseases and disorders related to the nervous system, such as dyslexia, autism, anorexia, hyperactivity, Alzheimer's syndrome and obsessive-compulsive disorders are predominantly accompanied with the lack ofomega3 fatty acids in these patients.

Because of the key role these fatty acids have in the normal functioning of the cardiovascular system, brain, retina, gall bladder and other organs, their adequate intake needs to be ensured. It is believed that taking at least one tablespoon of hempseed oil a day will have beneficial effects on mental health, relieves fatigue and generally improve the body stamina.

Why unrefined?

In contrast to the industrially processed oil that has to pass at least 6 stages of refining, the cold-pressed oil has a pleasant smell and a taste of a raw food and does not have to undergo any of the refining stages.

Why cold press?
Cold-pressed oil is obtained by mechanical pressing of seeds. The obtained oil fully retains all nutrients, especially essential fatty acids in which the seeds are naturally rich.

Hempseed oil should exclusively be used unheated. High temperatures degrade fatty acids. It can be used in salads, juices or simply taken with spoon. In therapeutic use, it is recommended to take 4-5 tablespoons a day for 2 months and to continue with 1-2 tablespoons afterwards. For health improvement, take 1-2 tablespoons a day. Many experts believe that the oil should preferably be taken with food rich in proteins (lentils, beans, eggs, meat) for easier absorption. Dr Johan Budwig recommends taking oil rich in omega 3 fatty acids with cottage cheese.

The daily dose should not be exceeded.

Low concentration of THC (5mg/kg) in industrial hemp enables fully legal use of hempseed oil.

Its long-term use has shown no contraindications.
