Product Description

Natural

Unrefined

Highly Nutritive

Dark sesame oil is the basis of macrobiotic cuisine worldwide, especially in distant Japan. Unlike our light sesame oil, dark sesame oil is characterized by a rich aromatic taste of sesame in a slightly brown color. In addition to its essential fatty acids, it contains vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant capable of helping the body’s cells fight against free radicals. We also find a balanced ratio of omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids. The large amount of lecithin found in the oil in light mucus gives it exceptional stability, and linoleic acid, which is also abundant, is an excellent ally in the fight against cardiovascular diseases. In addition to the numerous health benefits of sesame, dark sesame oil is also there to regenerate hair and skin with essential vitamins such as D and B complex.

Use and Storage

The intense taste of dark sesame oil, in just a few drops, will complete any dish. It can be used for frying, baking, and quick stewing but also as salad oil. It is a common ingredient in many Asian dishes; toasted oil with garlic and hot spices can be the basis for various noodles and soups. An exotic sauce is obtained by mixing oil with water and peanut butter, ideally combined with fresh vegetables and fruits.

Store in the original packaging in a dry, dark, and cool place, away from sources of heat and sunlight.

Method of production

Virgin dark sesame oil is unrefined vegetable oil. It is obtained by mechanical pressing of the seeds of the oldest cultivated oilseed – sesame. Before the pressing process, the seeds are thermally treated.
