There are a growing number of options when it comes to vegan protein. One of the newest on the market is sunflower seed protein. Sunflower is grown without chemical preparations and artificial fertilizers on surfaces without air pollutants and has many health benefits.

Consuming protein powder is an easy way to meet your daily protein needs. Protein is the most essential macronutrient for weight loss, as it helps with satiety and boosts metabolism.

Sunflower seed protein is fantastic for supporting muscle growth. Due to its branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) content, sunflower seed protein supports muscle growth and recovery, especially after training. In addition to BCAA, sunflower seed proteins contain magnesium, an essential nutrient for muscle recovery and proper functioning.

Did you know that protein powder can do more than provide protein? Sunflower seed protein powder can also improve the appearance and health of your skin. Sunflower seeds are rich in fat-soluble vitamin E, which is an antioxidant. Antioxidants in food and supplements protect our cells, such as skin cells, from damage.

Use and Storage

Sunflower seed protein powder has a mild aroma, which allows it to be easily added to various foods and drinks. It can be mixed into various smoothies, shakes, and oatmeal combinations. Combined with other flour types, it becomes the basis for various doughs, such as homemade dough for pizza, tortillas, or muffins. It is also used for thickening soups and making sauces and dressings. Our suggestion is a juicy coffee cake combined with cinnamon, coconut oil, almond butter, and the addition of our sunflower seed protein.

Store in the original packaging in a dry, dark, and cool place, away from sources of heat and sunlight.

Method of production

Sunflower seed protein is obtained by grinding and sieving the cake after pressing oil from organically grown sunflower seeds.

Sunflower seed protein has a slight note of roasted sunflower seeds.

Does it cause a bloated stomach effect after use?

Sunflower seed protein should not cause bloating unless there is a sensitivity to the sunflower seeds. Moreover, sunflower seed powder is 100% gluten-free, so it’s a good option for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity.

Is the sunflower seeds used for production thermally treated?

The protein is obtained from the cake after cold pressing of the oil, which does not include heat treatment of the seeds.

    Can it cause allergies?

Sunflower seeds are a rare source of allergies, making them an excellent alternative to nut-based protein sources.

Is it suitable for the diet of heart patients?

Thanks to sunflowers’ phytosterol content, sunflower seeds or sunflower powder can help reduce cholesterol levels. Phytosterols are substances found in plants that have been shown to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol, a risk factor for heart disease. We suggest you consult your doctor before introducing sunflower seed protein into your diet.
